Opera Setup
Once you've received your Expat Pass proxy username and password, Setting up the Opera browser to use it is simple. Just follow the steps below and you'll be surfing the Web from London in minutes.
If you're not sure about any step, and would like to see a visual guide, click the "Show Me!" links to the right of each step. You can also go through the steps visually by using this Visual Guide to Opera Setup.
1. Start by selecting the "Menu" from the Opera Logo in the Top Left Cornet of the Opera Browser. Show Me!
2. Scroll down the window to "Settings" and then select "Preferences" Show Me!
3. If it is not already selected, select the "Advanced" Tab.. Show Me!
4. Select "Network" from the Left side menu and then "Proxy Servers" Show Me!
Now at last you're in the Proxy servers Window where you can configure Opera to use the Expat Pass London Proxy.
5. Here you need to:
- Select the Radio Buttons "HTTP, HTTPS, FTP & Gopher"
- Enter www.expatpass.com in the first Window and...
- 3128 in the Port window. Show Me!
- Next Click "OK" to close the Proxy Servers Window and...
- "OK" again to close the Prefernces Window
OK now we are really here, your Opera browser is now configured to use the Expat Pass proxy in London. Now when you get back to the browser and attempt to load a page or reload (Ctrl+ R) an existing page.
6. A final "Please log in" window will open hear you simply enter your Expat Pass proxy username and password, click "Submit" Show Me!
Please note that Opera will also ask to remember the username and password - that choice is yours..!
